The Stables were built at the end of 18th Century and comprised stabling for 6 horses, and also a carriage room, all built to serve the Wardhouse Mansion house close by.
A scheme of conservation repair and contemporary intervention has lead to an enormous corrugated extension being built with contemporary Norwegian windows, and also appropriate interventions to the stone structure to create a modern family dwelling with the comfort of underfloor heating and discriminating detail.
The Stables has spectacular views to the East and West looking over nearby Ardmore with its distillery, and landmarks such as The Tap O'Noth and The Buck by Dufftown.
