Cullen House - Cullen, Morayshire
« back

The spectacular 18th Century kitchen at Cullen House was part of an ambition service range attached to Cullen House, built around 1780, including staff accommodation, a game larder, silver stores and the spectacular kitchen.

Acanthus Architects df regenerated the Grade A listed kitchen and created a gallery allowing our own office to be established there in 1983 along with living accommodation.

The work was widely published and acclaimed for successfully retaining "recognition" of the kitchen space and its details whilst establishing a secure and long term use in what at the beginning of 1982 was a redundant and important historic building.
