Our clients acquired the Listed Georgian Mayen House, sited with commanding views over the River Deveron, & commissioned us to create extensive alterations & extensions within a committed traditional discipline of detailing materials & spaces.
18th Century Mayen House required both extensive repair & conservation work & our clients briefed us to create a 21st Georgian House with appropriate servicing & rooms, providing generous ancillary, kitchen & bathroom to support the principal spaces of the original Georgian House.
Bold use of steeled frame extensions, discreetly masked by carefully considered compositional detailing & external detailing, have resulted in a comfortable & extensive Georgian House set in surrounding landscapes, which our clients have made spectacular improvements of.
A number of adjoining buildings, including the Coach House, were also repaired & regenerated as part of our project. The Coach House lies just 500 m from the main house.
